Description
Whether you’re loading in for a club night or setting up mobile for a wedding, the Dark Matter DM 115 gives your rig the low-end weight it’s missing. This vented, self-powered enclosure runs on 800 watts of peak power with DDT compression watching your back, so the woofer stays protected even when you push it hard on a long set.
At the heart of it is a 15″ heavy-duty woofer with a 3″ voice coil, built to move air without breaking a sweat — helped along by a forced-air cooled amp section that keeps things running reliably through back-to-back gigs. Hook up via the combo jack (balanced 1/4″ TRS or XLR), then chain your tops off the two high-pass XLR thru outputs or send a full-range signal out the third XLR. An adjustable Level knob and the Kosmos C control let you dial in exactly how much bass impact you want in the room, while the polarity switch and ground lift help you sort out phase or hum issues on the fly.
Practical touches make it a real workhorse for DJs and sound techs alike:
- Vented cabinet design for punchy low end
- Full-coverage perforated steel grille and steel handles for load-in/load-out
- Threaded pole mount with speaker pole included, so it doubles as your top’s stand
- Compact footprint given the 15″ driver — easier to fit in the van or the DJ booth
Packed weight comes in at 90.39 lb, with packed dimensions of 27.5″ W x 28″ H x 21″ D — manageable for a one- or two-person load-in whether you’re rolling into a club or setting up for a private event.
