Alessandro High-End Products teamed up with Grado Labs to engineer a headphone that balances comfort with genuinely revealing sound, dressed in a leather headband and metal accents that give it a distinctly hand-built feel.
Inside, the MS2 uses a vented diaphragm paired with a large air chamber, a design choice that tames frequency resonance and lets bass extend further without muddying the mix. The diaphragm itself is a low-mass polymer that’s been carefully de-stressed during manufacturing, a process aimed at pulling out finer inner detail while keeping resonant modes broad and controlled rather than peaky. Alessandro calculated the diaphragm’s mass to cover the full 20kHz bandwidth cleanly, avoiding breakup at the low end.
Powering that diaphragm is a voice-coil wound from ultra-high purity, long crystal (UHPLC) oxygen-free copper, matched with high-power neodymium magnets. The result is a smoother, more dynamic sound with lower coloration and a wider perceived soundstage — qualities that matter whether you’re doing detailed studio work or critical home listening.
