Description
The Dark Matter DM 112 gives DJs and gigging musicians a self-contained PA solution that adapts to the room instead of forcing you to fight it. At the core is a bi-amplified analog power section paired with 64-bit double-precision DSP running at 96 kHz/24-bit, so the crossover, EQ, and dynamic bass boost stay clean even when you’re pushing volume across a crowded venue.
An LCD readout with a selector knob puts bass/treble control and multiple factory EQ presets right at your fingertips — dial in a setting for pole-mounted PA use, flip to a floor monitor curve, or save your own custom preset for recall later. That flexibility matters when you’re loading in for a wedding one night and a club set the next.
Sound comes from a 12″ heavy-duty woofer (410W peak) and a DX14 1.4″ titanium-diaphragm compression driver (250W peak), shaped by Peavey’s Quadratic Throat Waveguide for a wide, even 110° x 80° dispersion pattern. A combo XLR/1/4″ TRS input with Mic/Line switching covers different source levels, and the male XLR thru output makes daisy-chaining additional cabinets straightforward.
Built for the road, the trapezoidal cabinet is rugged injection-molded plastic with a powder-coated steel grille, dual angled rear corners for monitor placement, and a molded-in mount for 1 3/8″ poles. A cooling fan keeps the amp section reliable through long sets.
