Description
The Peavey XR-S packs an 8-channel mixer and a 1,000-watt amplifier (1,500 watts peak) into a single top-box unit, making it a practical choice for anyone running sound solo — whether that’s a mobile DJ setup, a bar gig, or a small live venue. Instead of hauling separate amps and processors, you get the mixing, amplification, and effects in one road-ready chassis.
Each of the 8 combination XLR/1/4″ inputs gets its own 3-band EQ, and Peavey’s MidMorph EQ lets you dial in tonal shaping that goes beyond a standard sweep. Dual 9-band graphic EQs cover both main and monitor sends, while the exclusive FLS feedback-locating circuit helps you find and kill problem frequencies fast — a real asset when you’re running your own monitors with no second engineer to catch feedback before it happens.
For music playback, the XR-S includes Bluetooth streaming plus a USB port for MP3 playback straight from a jump drive, with an onboard LCD showing file names and effect selections. Peavey’s KOSMOS bass enhancement adds low-end punch and tightens up high-frequency clarity, which matters a lot when your system is doubling as both PA and monitor rig.
On the output side, you get four twist-lock combination jacks with selectable Main/Main or Main/Monitor amp routing, a subwoofer line output, monitor send, and analog record output — giving you flexibility whether you’re running a two-speaker mobile rig or a small front-of-house/monitor split.
