Description
The ART MX822 is a workhorse line mixer that fits equally well in a permanent booth install or a road case for mobile gigs. Housed in a rugged 1U steel rack chassis, it gives you eight stereo/mono input channels, each with its own level, pan, and effects send control — enough flexibility to handle players, drum machines, wireless mics, or auxiliary sources without hogging your mixer’s channel strips.
- Eight stereo/mono channels with individual level, pan, and effects send
- Dedicated external effects loop with independent send/return controls
- Channel One doubles as a switchable balanced XLR mic input or 1/4-inch line in, with selectable low-noise +48V phantom power
- Front-panel headphone jack (1/4-inch TRS) with its own amplifier and level control for private cueing, separate from the main mix
- Per-channel green/red LED signal and clip indicators, plus six-segment L/R main output metering with clipping alerts
- Balanced XLR main outputs for a clean run to amps or house systems
- Chainable design — link multiple MX822s via standard 1/4-inch TRS cables to expand your input count
Under the hood, the MX822 stays quiet and transparent: THD sits below 0.01% at 1kHz, signal-to-noise typically exceeds 90dB, and mic input can be driven up to +60dB of gain for weak sources. At 6.5 lbs and just 1.75″ tall, it slides into a rack alongside your amps or processors without eating up space you need elsewhere. Whether you’re running a club booth that needs to expand over time or a mobile setup that needs to fold down fast, the MX822 handles the routing so you can focus on the mix.
