Eight independent channels each accept either a balanced XLR mic signal or an unbalanced 1/4-inch TS line source, with dedicated level and pan controls per channel so you can place every source anywhere across the stereo field.
Phantom power (+48V) switches on per-channel for condenser mics, while a master level knob controls the balanced 1/4-inch TRS main outputs. Need more than eight inputs? Prefade Output and Aux Bus Input RCA jacks let you chain multiple MX821s units together without touching your master fader settings — handy for mobile setups that keep growing or fixed installs that need room to scale.
This mixer isn’t fussy about where it lives.
