Sixteen MIDAS-designed mic preamps feed the console, and dual AES50 ports let you link up to six S16 digital stage boxes when a gig calls for serious I/O. Eight stereo FX engines and flexible routing keep the signal path clean whether you’re tracking, running monitors, or covering front-of-house for a touring act.
On the console itself, an 800 x 480 graphic display puts every mix parameter within reach, and 17 motorized 100mm faders — split into input and group/bus sections — snap to position the instant you recall one of 100 stored scenes. For gigs where you want to step away from the rack, X32-EDIT (PC/Mac/Linux), X32-MIX for iPad, and companion apps for iPhone/iPod touch and Android let you walk the room and adjust the mix live, with multiple app instances running simultaneously so performers can dial in their own monitors.
Version 2.0 firmware adds Acoustic Integration for CAT5 control of TURBOSOUND iQ speakers, a 100-band real-time analyzer, faster FX editing, scene library import/export, and 16 True Physical Modeling FX plug-ins that recreate classic analog processors in the digital domain. Swappable expansion cards open up USB, ADAT, MADI, and Dante connectivity alongside the built-in ULTRANET and AES50 ports.
